New Company Name, Same Great 3-D Wall Panels Made to Order from Premium Materials

You may have noticed a slight name change to Walston Door Company. We’re now Walston Architectural Products. Why? Our new name reflects that we’re so much more than custom sliding barn doors! Our craftsmen create architectural pieces that elevate your home’s style.

Traditional households think of spring as the time of year to start fresh with a thorough deep-clean. Less traditional households see spring as a beacon of what’s to come: stylish upgrades and home improvement projects! There’s no better time to start preparing for this than now.

Walston Architectural Products can help you get a head start on your next household project with gorgeous, modern wood paneling for walls.

    Start by Planning Your Space

Before you can kick off any home improvement project, you need a plan for your space. Create a list of everything that needs to be remodeled or renovated, and then arrange them in chronological order. For example, if your living room needs new flooring, wall paint, and eye-catching wall paneling to provide texture and visual interest, your list might look something like this:

    1. Remove trim and quarter-round.

    2. Pull up the old carpet.

    3. Paint walls.

    4. Install new flooring.

    5. Hang decorative wall paneling.

    6. Replace trim and quarter-round.

It’s at this stage that you’ll also look at your budget and take measurements. Keep all these notes in one place, so you can refer back to them as you work on your spring home improvement tasks.

    Choose Your Wall Paneling Style

When you’re ready to start purchasing supplies for your spring home improvement project, consider your goals for new decor. This will dictate the style of wall paneling you choose, how much you’ll need, and where you’ll place it in your home.

Walston Architectural Products offers wall cladding in three styles: fluted, reeded, and slatted. You can get your wall paneling painted, stained, or ready for your own finishing touch. We recommend ordering samples from our website so you can determine which style and material is right for your space. Each sample is 8 inches by 8 inches, with reeds, flutes, or slats that accurately reflect sizing on our full-size 3-D wall panels, or you can order our sample pack of smaller pieces to see them all at once.

Don’t forget to check out our website for some inspiration as you make your choice of panels.

Place a Custom Order for Wood Paneling for Walls

Now that you’ve chosen your wall panel style and material, it’s time to place your order. Each of our panel packages are just over 33 square feet and come in four 12” by 94” sections.

All you have to do is click “add to cart,” and then check out like you would on any other website. Be sure that you’re placing your order well in advance; our unfinished MDF decorative wall panels take up to two weeks to build and ship, while finished wood panels can take up to six weeks.

    Receive Your Wall Paneling

After you place your order on our website, our craftsmen get to work assembling your wall panels. Each piece is made to order, and we take great care to ensure your panels look perfect before they leave our shop.

Our wood paneling for walls ship via UPS Ground, but if you place a larger order, it may require freight shipping with curbside delivery. If this is the case for your order, the freight company will call to schedule delivery time.

When you receive your wall panels, regardless of shipping method, you’ll find a carefully packaged product, ready for installation.

Get Ready for Installation This Spring

Your final step for your project is to install your new wall panels. We recommend using a construction adhesive to apply your wall panels over existing drywall and also nailing the panels directly to the studs.

Fill the seams between adjoining panels with caulk if you chose primed MDF cladding or with wood filler if you chose solid wood paneling. If you plan to paint your primed MDF panels, make sure you’ve selected a paintable caulk.
