YES! All of our doors and wall panels are built in our shop to fit your specific size and design. If you require a custom size outside of our website standards listed please contact us and we're happy to accomodate.

Our machine grade medium-density fiberboard is an engineered wood made from thin panels of wood fiber, resin and wax. MDF is considered to be an upgrade from plywood and particle board and is used as a real wood alternative. Fire rated MDF is available upon request.

Our exquisite wall paneling combines the timeless beauty of real wood and stone with the durability and ease of maintenance offered by 3D laminate technology. Machine grade MDF is faced with high quality 3D laminate for a non-porous, easy to clean surface that brings the natural beauty of wood and stone into your interior space without the worry of inconsistencies in color or warping.

All of our doors are hand crafted in our North Kansas City shop so there is some wait time. Our goal is quality craftsmanship which generally takes 6-10 weeks for production time. Freight shipping may add approximately 3-7 business days. All of our times are ESTIMATES and not guaranteed or by any means a commitment. If you need your door quickly please ask about our expedite fee.

No, hardware is not included with each door purchase however; we do offer different styles of hardware available for purchase on our website or in our shop. Installation instructions are included with your hardware.

As of May of 2023, we have discontinued taking any new orders with door delivery and installation services to the general public.

That's great! Please do not schedule any contractors to install your door or wall panels until your shipment has arrived and you have inspected it for damage. Delays and damages can happen and Walston Architectural Products is not responsible for any costs associated with scheduling and/or rescheduling contractors.

    Shipping & Returns

Yes, you must be home to sign and accept a delivery from Walston Architectural Products or through the freight shipping carrier. If you are not there at the scheduled delivery time or if you are late, the freight shipping carrier will charge a wait fee that you will be responsible for paying. Wooden crates are not waterproof and are not intended to be left outside for any length of time.

If the wooden crate is in bad shape when it arrives and there is good reason to suspect damage, please REFUSE it (and they will take it back to the terminal) or at the very least make sure the driver notates the damage directly on the delivery receipt. Walston Architectural Products will need a copy/picture of the delivery receipt if we need to file a claim and you must notify us immediately if there is damage. If it is damaged in any way it must be inspected by a freight representative before it can be moved from the original drop off spot or else they will claim you can't prove that it didn't get damaged while you were moving it inside your home. Freight companies have very strict policies about claims so it is best to open the crate and inspect it completely before the driver leaves your property.

No, the freight driver will deliver the crate to your driveway only. Please keep in mind that LTL deliveries are different than small package and they are only responsible for lowering the lift gate to your driveway. They are not responsible for helping you carry the crate into your home so we highly recommend having help available as it will be a couple hundred pounds. Most crates can be handled by 4 or more strong people but some circumstances may be better handled with a forklift. Depending on the freight terminal, some crates will be considered oversized and the carrier may require help getting the crate off the truck. Some carriers will require the crate to be picked up from the terminal in an "oversized" shipment. Walston Architectural Products and the freight company are not responsible for any additional costs for oversized shipments. If you have a difficult to navigate street you may have to meet the truck and receive the shipment at the closest point to your curbside as possible.

In the rare event that there is an issue, it's important to carefully follow the instructions below
to ensure that your shipping claim can be resolved.

All freight companies are required to allow you up to 15-30 minutes to inspect your delivery for damage or missing parts. This means that you should make a complete inspection of your shipment to check for dents, cracks or broken parts. We highly recommend opening each box regardless of how it looks to inspect for damage that may not be obvious.

In the event that your order is damaged (minor or major), it should be noted by writing the
word "DAMAGED" on both the driver copy and your copy of the BOL, along with a description of the damage.

It is critical that the driver also sign and initial both copies of the BOL if any damage is present. By noting damage on the driver's copy, this ensures that there is written proof that damage was noted at the time of shipping. By having the driver sign your copy, this ensures that you have proof that the driver signed in your presence.

Walston Architectural Products will need a copy/picture of the delivery receipt noting damage within 12 hours. Please email these immediately to contact@walstonap.com along with supporting photos of the damaged shipment. Damage claims may not be accepted if these steps are not followed carefully.

FYI: Wooden crates are not waterproof and are not intended to be left outside for any
length of time. Leaving crates outside may cause damage to your product.
