Benefits of Walston Architectural Products Engineered Wood Vs. Solid Wood
More Modern Construction: Engineered wood doors are a more modern approach to door construction. An engineered door consists of multiple layers of timber that are pressed and glued together in different directions. This forms the core material.
Warp Resistant: An engineered wood door is able to evenly distribute any stress applied to it which makes them more stable and more warp resistant than its solid wood counterpart.
Resistant to Moisture: Engineered wood doors are less susceptible to environmental changes such as variations in humidity and temperature. Exposure to factors like these can cause a solid door to warp or bow.
Stability: Engineered wood is more stable compared to solid wood by having layers of timber running in different directions.

A painted fluted door is a stunning addition to any interior, combining the classic elegance of fluted detailing with the artistic touch of paint. This type of door features vertical grooves or ridges, known as flutes, that create a textured and visually appealing surface. The addition of paint takes the fluted door to the next level, allowing for endless color possibilities and customization options.
One of the main advantages of a painted fluted door is the ability to match it with the overall design scheme of a room. Whether you're aiming for a bold and vibrant statement or a subtle and harmonious look, the paint color choice can play a significant role. Imagine a painted fluted door in a deep navy blue, adding a touch of sophistication and drama to a contemporary living room. Or picture a soft pastel pink fluted door, creating a whimsical and charming atmosphere in a nursery or bedroom. The options are limitless, and the painted fluted door allows you to express your personal style and create a unique focal point.
In addition to color selection, the finish of a painted fluted door can also contribute to its overall appeal. A glossy finish can provide a sleek and polished look, while a matte or satin finish offers a more subtle and refined appearance. All of our pre-painted doors come in a satin finish which is what we consider the "sweet spot" of not too glossy and not too matte. The choice of finish depends on the desired aesthetic and the specific ambiance you wish to create.
A painted fluted door is not only visually striking but also offers practical benefits. The fluted texture adds depth and dimension to the door, creating a tactile experience that is pleasing to the touch. Moreover, the grooves can help to mask any imperfections or wear and tear that may occur over time, making the door more durable and long-lasting.
When it comes to installation, a painted fluted door can be integrated into various architectural styles and settings. Whether it's a modern or traditional interior, the door can seamlessly blend in or serve as a contrasting element, depending on the design intent. From residential homes to commercial spaces such as hotels, restaurants, or offices, a painted fluted door can elevate the overall ambiance and make a bold statement.
In conclusion, a painted fluted door combines the timeless beauty of fluted detailing with the artistic expression of paint. With a wide range of color options and finishes available, it can be customized to suit any interior design scheme. Whether you're aiming for a vibrant and contemporary look or a more subtle and classic style, a painted fluted door adds texture, depth, and personality to any space. Its practical benefits and versatility make it a popular choice for those seeking a unique and visually captivating door option.
