We’ve engineered our PolyCompression Core™ that we’re combining with CNC technology for unique designs that you cannot find anywhere else.

    • Door Skin: 1/4" white oak or alder skins allow for increased depth in design, perfect for staining or simply clear coating to enjoy the natural beauty and color of the wood.
    • Stile & Rail: Engineered stiles/rails from laminated stand lumber provide a stable, durable frame built to last.
    • Expanded Polystyrene Core: Compressed Expanded Polystyrene core provides a lighter weight, yet rigid door with enhanced durability and sound reducing qualities.

Benefits of Walston Architectural Products Engineered Wood Vs. Solid Wood

    • More Modern Construction: Engineered wood doors are a more modern approach to door construction. An engineered door consists of multiple layers of timber that are pressed and glued together in different directions. This forms the core material.
    • Warp Resistant: An engineered wood door is able to evenly distribute any stress applied to it which makes them more stable and more warp resistant than its solid wood counterpart.
    • Resistant to Moisture: Engineered wood doors are less susceptible to environmental changes such as variations in humidity and temperature. Exposure to factors like these can cause a solid door to warp or bow.
    • Stability: Engineered wood is more stable compared to solid wood by having layers of timber running in different directions.
